On April 25th at 8:08, the 2026 Changchun Jingyuetan Four Seasons Joy Run Spring Extraordinary Race was launched. More than 4,800 runners from 18 provinces, cities, autonomous regions, and overseas gathered in this ecological oxygen bar for a cultural, tourism, and sports event that intertwines courage, perseverance, and spring scenery.
This event is guided by the Jilin Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, Jilin Provincial Sports Bureau, Jilin Provincial Department of Culture, Tourism and Radio and Television, Changchun Municipal Sports Bureau, and Changchun Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio and Television and Tourism. It is hosted by the Jilin Provincial Sports Federation, Jilin Provincial Social Sports Management Center, and Changchun Jingyue High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee. The event is organized by Changchun Jingyuetan Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd., operated by Changchun Jingyuetan Sports Fitness Service Co., Ltd., and supported by Changchun University Tourism College and Jilin Foreign Languages University.
The Jingyue Lake Scenic Area boasts vast forests and clear waters, with a forest coverage rate of up to 96% and abundant negative oxygen ions. Leveraging this ecological foundation, this event has created two categories: the 17.5-kilometer Lake-surrounding Challenge and the 3.5-kilometer Mini Run.
The participants of the Huan Tan Challenge traversed the ecologically greenway surrounded by mountains and rivers, encountering the rippling blue waves and floating misty green, immersing themselves in the freshness and magnificence of spring while challenging their physical strength and endurance, and appreciating the poetic expression of road running.
The mini running course links up iconic scenic spots such as Bisong Jingyue Tower, Reservoir Dam, and Water Discharge Tower, attracting many parent-child families to participate in the race as a group. Together, they experience the "dopamine" in the forest and enjoy warm and unforgettable parent-child moments amidst the vitality and growth.
The specially established food supply stations along the ski resort offered runners nearly twenty delicious options, including roast chicken, beef rolls, and ginger-sugar water, providing them with ample "energy replenishment"! Many participants expressed that running amidst such a beautiful scenery while enjoying a wide range of special delicacies felt fantastic! These heartwarming and stomach-warming supply arrangements greatly enhanced the experience of the event.
It is worth mentioning that this edition of the event showcases unique creativity in visual design and cultural expression, with "Galloping Horses" as the core theme. The event medals, participant bags, towels, and other event materials all feature the image of a steed, deeply integrated with the landmarks and natural scenery of Jingyuetan. The galloping horse symbolizes not only the runners' courage and determination to move forward like a steed, but also embodies the event's character of forging ahead with joy in the four seasons of Jingyuetan. It also serves as the spiritual totem of the Horse Year Jingyuetan Four Seasons Joy Run.
After a fierce competition, the champions, runners-up, and third place finishers of the men's and women's groups in the 17.5-kilometer Huantan Challenge were successively determined.
